Refuse & Recycling

Location: Village of Peotone Police Department, Open during business hours: Monday thru Friday, 8am-5pm.

Please bring your extinguishers to the Police Department Lobby and complete sign-in sheet with your zip code, date and the number of extinguishers turned in.

Household recycling bins are distributed to each residence by Star/A&J Disposal (708-258-3250).

Curbside pickup is every other Wednesday.

The Will County Land Use Department operates residential electronic recycling and household hazardous waste disposal programs. For program details including times and locations, visit Will County Green

Drop off will be on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 5-7pm.

Drop off location is the parking lot between Village Hall on Main Street and the railroad tracks.

• Star/A&J Disposal picks up residential yard waste each Wednesday from April – November if it is placed in a brown yard waste bag or in a yard waste container.
  
  
• Yard waste bags must be a Star/A&J Disposal marked bag or have a Star/A&J Disposal sticker on them if using a different brand bag. 
  
  
• Residents may purchase Star/A&J Disposal brand yard waste bags at Ace in Manteno  and yard waste stickers can be purchased at Berkot’s.
  
  
• Alternatively, Star/A&J Disposal will provide a yard waste container from April 1 through November 30 for a semi-annual fee.
