Public Meeting 5/20: Wilmington-Peotone – Old Chicago to US 45/52 Preliminary Engineering
Wilmington-Peotone Stakeholders,
As an extension of the Wilmington-Peotone PEL Study completed in 2025, the Will County Division of Transportation (WCDOT) has begun preliminary engineering of the central section of Wilmington-Peotone Road. WCDOT cordially invites you to attend an open house public meeting concerning the Phase I Study for Wilmington-Peotone Road from Old Chicago Road to US 45/52. The open house format allows attendees to arrive anytime between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Exhibits will be on display and project team members will be present to discuss the project and answer questions.

Purpose of this open house public meeting:
- Provide an overview of this Phase I study project and schedule
- Present the preferred alternative and intersection improvements
- Obtain public input that will be utilized to finalize the design
All persons interested in the project are invited to attend and participate in the meeting. The public can learn more, review exhibits, and provide comments through the interactive study website:
Attendees are encouraged to provide comments during the public meeting or after by visiting the project website. Comments received by June 10, 2026 will become part of the official public outreach event record.
