NOW HIRING – PUBLIC WORKS LABORER

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

The Village of Peotone Public Works Department is seeking a dependable individual to perform maintenance and infrastructure duties that help keep the community safe and well maintained.

Key Duties

• Street and road maintenance
• Snow and ice removal operations
• Landscaping including tree planting and brush chipping
• Operate mowers, weed trimmers, and equipment
• Storm drain maintenance and minor equipment repairs
• Install and maintain street signs

Qualifications

• Class B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement preferred (or ability to obtain)
• Mechanical aptitude preferred
• Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors
• Must be available for snow and ice control operations

Starting Pay

$19.00 per hour with increases per union contract.
