The Village of Peotone Public Works Department is seeking a hard working and energetic applicant for full time employment in the Public Works department. This position is responsible for a variety of manual labor projects for the Public Works Department. This position will be expected to work 7:00AM-3:00PM, Monday-Friday.

Highlighted Functions: “ Performs general road maintenance and related activities: “ Landscapes areas, plants trees, plant flowers. watering, chipping of brush “ Operates lawn equipment including mowers, weed trimmers, hand tools,power tools for assigned job exposure to inclement weather, noise, traffic conditions and exhaust. “ Performs preventive maintenance or repair on equipment: “ Will be required to work in emergency situations.
Qualifications, Requirements and Experience: “ Class B CDL license with airbrakes endorsement preferred. “ Mechanical aptitude and related experience and/or training is preferred. “ This is considered a heavy duty position which requires the occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; “ Previous snow plowing experience is strongly desired.
